SPEED TO LEAD: A CASE STUDY

If you have been following this blog, you are likely already aware of the importance speed plays into your results from leads (and customer inquiries in general). I previously shared suggestions to ensure high contact rates and success in regards to contacting potential customers in an article titled The Lead Game… You Respond (Fast & Frequently), or You Lose. No business owner purposely avoids actions to make money, but the number of home improvement contracting companies that fail to respond with speed is astonishing. I recently was introduced to a company, Valve+Meter who conducted a case study of the response time from close to 500 home services companies across the country. The data they compiled is astonishing and disturbing at the same time. I typically do not direct people to outside sources, but this case study was too valuable not to share. You can read the results here. Don’t say I didn’t warn you; the findings are shocking! The impact calling your leads quickly will have on your success as a home improvement pro are tough to quantify. However the amount of additional revenue you generate will be quite simple to calculate.
