May Newsletter – What’s New at conXpros

May 9, 2022

April showers bring May flowers. Although this is not an accurate statement here in the US (originated from a British poet, Thomas Tusser. Back then, who wrote “Sweet April showers do spring May flowers” where this formula held true), it is a perfect lead-in for me to share some amazing achievements and successes here at conXpros.

We had a record number of leads delivered to our partners in April, which are the “April showers,” resulting in huge wins for so many of our clients and thus the “blossoming” of their revenue, or the “May flowers.” As usual, the greatest challenge for me was trying to choose which client successes to share in the newsletter. I wanted to start with an awesome story about a newer conXpros partner, Blue Valley Contracting.

After enrolling in the service on March 7th, 2022, the initial few leads created a lot of frustration and discontent for them. Through the work of their account manager, Cornelius Daniel and his team had over $90k in estimates out for various deck projects and reported closing one for $30k. To top it off, they also received a referral from that new client for another $20k deck project.

We do not always get it right from the start, but with a little patience and minor adjustments, typically, these are the results we are able to help our clients achieve. Great job all around from Daniel, Blue Valley Contracting, and Cornelius.

In a similar story, Palli-S Painting and their team led by Osvaldo were struggling to convert leads into jobs. Rachel, their account manager, worked with their team to help them figure out “the lead game” and start achieving positive results. Although the job size is not at the level of the previous client story, Palli-S has been finding the success they were seeking when they first joined conXpros. They reported closing one job for $1,600 and two other estimates scheduled from the three most recent leads they attacked with the process developed with Rachel. I love seeing these “turnaround” types of stories. Patience and persistence pay off!

Eli, owner of Kingdom Customs in SC, recently shared some fantastic information from his work with conXpros. They have been a client since early December 2021, and are now generating over $70k in new monthly revenue directly from the leads we deliver to them. I am confident the additional $800k+ annually is making a huge impact for Kingdom Customs & Eli. Keep rocking it!

The last story I wanted to highlight is truly awesome all around. Tiger Roofing NW & Exteriors and Jason have been working with conXpros since November 9th, 2021. They have developed a strong relationship with their account manager, Rachel, and regularly share their successes with her. This one really put a smile on my face as the success was largely in part due to one of our Lead Verification Reps going the extra mile to help our client secure an amazing job.

I cannot write this any better than what Rachel shared with me by email, so here are her words:

“When I spoke with Jason today and he had a LOT of great things to say about jobs he has closed over the past few weeks, and how happy he is with us – which is always great to hear, but the one thing that stood out to him and that he was excited to tell me about is a lead we sent him that needed 100 decks built for a Senior Living Community – A PERFECT LEAD, but that isn’t the reason he was so excited. He was excited because the reason that he was able to close this job was 100% due to DeAnna from the verification department. Jason did what he was supposed to do by trying to make contact with the lead, and he never connected. They were getting lots of bids at the time and timing wasn’t on his side. Well… DeAnna spoke with the contact on the lead a few days after it was sent out to verify it and she was able to bridge the connection with our client and the contact person at the Senior Living Community and it was a closed deal from there. So far this one $85 deck install lead has turned into a job for over $108k and counting and Jason said, if DeAnna did not call, he would not have reached back out.”

That is what it is all about! Jason closes plenty of projects without assistance (as shared in previous newsletters), but as the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work!

Every client of conXpros is part of our team and we are super grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of your team. Thank you for allowing us to help you achieve success & celebrate wins together. I hope all of our valued partners experience the blooming of new revenue in May like flowers in the spring.

5 Ways Home Improvement Contractors Can Stay Connected With Their Clients

Your customers are the foundation of your home improvement company, which is why it’s critical to pay attention to how they connect with your brand. Don’t only engage with them when you want their business; find ways to show them you care regularly.

It’s one thing to close a deal and get a new client, it’s a whole other ball game when it comes to retaining them, especially in the home improvement business where many things can go wrong.

Homeowners want to find someone they can trust for their future projects and to refer them to their friends and family. They don’t want to go through the vetting process all over again. So, it’s important to 1. Make a good first impression and 2. Nurture the relationship after the job is done.

Read our blog to learn 5 ways home improvement contractors can stay connected with their clients post-project.

The 5 Habits of Excellent Salespeople And How You Can Use Them To Grow Your Home Improvement Business

In the world of home improvement, it is very competitive to win leads. In a market oversaturated with home improvement experts of all kinds, who are the guys winning the leads? And why?

The great salesmen are! That’s right. Most of the time, people hire home improvement professionals that have the right energy, take the initiative, and close the deal; not necessarily the one who sells the best painting services. So what separates a great salesman from an average one?

Read our blog to learn the 5 great habits of excellent salespeople.

“Compared to other lead generation services, conXpros is a breath of fresh air. The other services fight you tooth and nail if credit is needed for a lead that is for a different category or if the lead can never be contacted, or if the person says they never wanted the service. In my experience, they will grant credits for those valid reasons without a fight. I just wish all lead generation services were like this.”
